Following on from the success of our mini triathlon events that have seen 20,000 children enjoy a taster of triathlon, the Brownlee Foundation have launched a local bike and run session at the Brownlee Centre and Cycle Circuit at Bodington Playing Fields.
In partnership with the University of Leeds, these weekly sessions will enable children, age 8 to 14, to enjoy biking and running activities in a safe environment, under the supervision of British Triathlon qualified coaches.
The Triathlon Trust, who have been the delivery partners for the Brownlee Foundation, have donated 24 of their bikes and helmets to the Brownlee Foundation. The bikes and helmets will be used to facilitate the weekly sessions and enable children who don’t have their own suitable equipment to join in.
Mike Jubb, CEO of the Triathlon Trust “It’s great to see the brothers not only inspiring children to get active through their own amazing performances, but also by organising these local sessions. It’s a privilege to partner with them and donate some of our bikes for this purpose.”
Jonny Brownlee “It’s brilliant to be able to use such a great facility to meet the goals of the Brownlee Foundation in giving as many children as possible the opportunity to enjoy riding bikes and being active.”

The Brownlee Foundation sessions are being run at the Brownlee Centre, University of Leeds (LS16 8NA) on Wednesdays 5.30pm – 6.30pm. For more information or to book on to the sessions email contact@thebrownleefoundation.org or call 07878 187742.
